Seeing Double

I have 2 penguins: one I use for just playing Club Penguin, and the other I use just in case I ever get banned, and to see if some of my closer penguin buddies are online.
If you're using Internet Explorer as your web browser, you've probably seen this a lot at your startup screen:

I think I know why it might be doing this.



BORING STORY ALERT: Today I logged in as my first penguin (Beaksworth) on Kosciuszko. I logged off to get on my alternate penguin, Beakzworth, to see if one of my closer friends was on. I log on and see that there's a friend on Kosciuszko, so I quickly switch over to Beaksworth. I log in and see that nobody's on.

 I guessed that that person had logged on just as I had gotten off, and left before I had a chance to get back on. So I return to Beakzworth to double check, and sure enough, somebody's on Kosciuszko. I get on through Beakzworth and it says that BEAKSWORTH is online and in the Pet Shop. I go there and see him (well, technically me) just standing there, even though I'm offline on that penguin. I exit out of CP alltogether and log back on to find that no friends are on, on either penguin.

Umm...the point of that story is that even though I had logged off, I was still sorta-kinda online. This might have something to do with the glitch I'm having at the startup screen, but I don't think that it's the cause of it.

What do you guys think?
